I'm trying to carry too much info with me on the road and need a different set with each location. Is there a way to connect a PCMCIA CDROM to the CF slot on a HP 540 series?

P.S.
If not, why not?!?

At the moment, it doesn't appear that anyone makes such an attachment for the Jornada 54x series. This is mostlikely because the Jornada designers didn't think that such a thing would be needed, so they didn't provide an interface to do it. After the device was put out, they realized that people wanted such devices, and built the capability into the 56x series with the CF Ie slot and allowed you to get the PC Card attachment. On top of all of this, even if you got a PCMCIA adaptor for the PDA, you would still need drivers for the card since such drivers aren't likely to be built in like the standard modem drivers.

Take a look at this.

Beats me if it would work with a CD, but I'm impressed it works with a HD and a ZIP 8O
