I realize that I am WAY behind on knowledge here.

I am looking to find out about getting online with a Ipaq. I am under the impression that I can get a Ipaq (im looking at the 3835) and get the CF card holder and a model CF card.

I would like to use a conventional phone line to get online and check email and use a few web sites.

AOL? does their program just do email? or does it let you browse too?

I do not want to use a cellular online provider. I travel to too many remote areas.

HELP.

Thanks
JP

You can connect any external, CF or PCMCIA modem to your pda to get online.

For the external modem you will need a serial cable.

For more information check my site. How to.

Some of these ways to get online seem a little aaahhh NoN Portable.

What about just a CF holder for the Ipaq. And a CF modem.. Plug the phone into it.

Doesn't that allow you to use AOL mail?

Does AOL mail have a browsing capacity?
