You can do this in all versions of Windows for your ActiveSync My Documents shortcut on your desktop, and XP lets you change the actual icon in Explorer. The folks over at MobiGeeks have a few cool ones for you. First, Jornada 56x and Toshiba Genio 570.

I understand icons for iPAQ's and other PPC's are on the way.

mja8105,

I have Win2k:

I went to the ActiveSync icon on my desktop, properties, change icon

I was able to change without any errors.....

Did you get any errors when you unzipped the file?????

Can someone double check this for me: Unzip the 570 icons and see if they work? The Jornada icons work fine for me, but not the 570 icons...

Thanks!!!

Steve

Weird,
This is what I see when I look at both sets:

Could this be a Win2k issue????

Could be - looks fine on XP. Strange. Tried redownloading the file?

Ed,

I tried redownloading....

Oh well. Maybe if anyone else has Win2k they can check this and see if they get the same results.

Thanks,

Steve

Ed,

How do I change the the Explorer icons in XP? I've looked high and low, but can't seem to find a way without an icon editing software?

Simply right-click the folder in Explorer and select the Customize tab.
