Problems Uploading Avatar

I'm having problems uploading a GIF for my Avatar on my profile screen. I've tried both methods, uploading a file directly from my PC and providing a URL to the image. The URL I've tried is this:

http://morpheus.icatar.com:81/images/americanflag.gif

The file size is too big. Your avatar has to be smaller than 10K. The GIF you linked to is 136K. Try something non-animated.

Yep, size does matter....The other gif I had was actually only 10.5K, but .5K too much nonetheless.

Now you get to stare at my ugly mug! :)

Hey guys I can't get any Avatar uploaded from my computer or downloaded from an URL. I have made sure the size was with in limits and I have tried various formats. What's the deal? :cry:
