Is this site optimized for AvantGo?

I thought AvantGo was playing the extortion game with Jason...

Since the commenting system has changed, you can no longer comment via AvantGo, but you should still be able to recieve the main page. Just synced my device and it works fine, just no commenting is possible.

So do I just point my AvantGo client to http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/ and let it download the front page or is there a special section for the small screen?

I believe I just added mine through AvantGo's website. I believe it is listed in the technology section.

They pulled me from that listing becuase I didn't want to pay $6000 US to be listed there (listing is free until you hit 5000 subscribed users, then they charge you...)

Go in and create a custom channel, zero levels deep...

It's not there anymore. I know there was a problem at one point recently with them wanting Jason to fork over significant $$$$ for being listed...

Well, thanks for all the replys. But still, no one has really answered if I should point my AvantGo directly to http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/ or not?

$6000? for an AvantGo listing? Wow, seems a little high. I guess that is how they make there money though. That and those little ads that we are getting (which tend to be rather annoying).

I was quite annoyed when those started showing up. Might be enough for me to go check out Mazingo again.

Yes - depth = 0, point it at http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php for now. We'll have a mobile page soon...

What is the size you guys use? I used 300K and after snyc it tells me that the files are too large to fit.

We don't have code set up on the opening page to exclude the graphics on AvantGo at the moment, so you should set it to be around 600 KB.

Is there any news on getting the forums formatted properly for PIE yet? I'm missing the ability to take entire forum threads offline for reading. Is there something I'm missing that would maybe make it better, even saving a forum thread as a local web page requires lots of horizontal scrolling to read the text. It's horrible.

It's a real shame to have lost that ability in the update.
