Anyone (else) out there using the Proxim Harmony wireless CF card?

Mine .... is amazing.

It, in the Ipaq comunicates with a Radio Shack bought Intel HomeRF USB base station, (CDN$129).

So... a wireless Ipaq for just under US$200.00

Range: 4th floor up to and including the laundry room in the basement at the other end of the house.

I also have the Intel PCMCIA HomeRF card for when I bring a laptop home. Again, the range/price/performance is fantastic.

Peace.

Matthew

Unfortunately, the reason you got such a good deal on the base station is that HomeRF lost the wireless battle. 802.11x has eclipsed it, and I doubt you'll see much support for HomeRF in the future. Just my opinion of course.

I have a Proxim Home RF card, but no driver for PPC (I have a Journada 568 with a PC card adapter).

Where is the driver available :?:

Proxim bites. After the nightmare I (and thousands of others) suffered through at TechEd a couple years ago thanks to their crappy RangeLAN products, I don't plan on ever buying anything from them.

802.11b stuff is pretty cheap now and will get cheaper through the year as the 802.11a stuff comes out.

Proxim Home RF 1.6
I have the Gateway, three (or is it 4) USB adapters and a PCMCIA adapter in a box on the shelf in the garage. If someone wants to send me a UPS call tag it is theirs. It is going to hit the scrap pile on the next garage clean up.
