While they lack a unique signature and sound slightly flat, overall performance was excellent. The design showcases the maturity of Shure’s place in the market, and the new ear sleeves are the most comfortable we have used. The build quality feels solid, the fit is great, and we have no reservations about recommending the SE310s to anyone in the canalphone market… presuming, that is, you can afford them."

Shure makes great stuff and they are worth the price in my opinion. If you are willing to spend hundreds on an MP3 player and then use a set of cheapo headphones, you are missing out. Their problem is that given the price most people are not going to even give them a try and given what they are, they are difficult to try before you buy.
