It's a great read, seeing how complicated it can be for someone with a vision for a piece of software to see it come to fruition. Now if only Lightroom 1.0 didn't still feel a bit like a beta piece of software (especially on Vista)...

That is one H..LL of an article -- REALLY interesting, especially if you follow the link to the gallery of shots from their Antarctica expedition. Some of the shots are just amazing!
