Canon cited a prolonged patent lawsuit with Nano-Proprietary Inc. as a reason for the delay. It is also delaying the launch to develop the technology to cut production costs, a step necessary to compete with LCD and plasma TVs, the company said. "</i><br /><br />With better picture quality and lower power consumption, SED certainly has some nice goodies to bring to the flat screen party. Not to mention that more competition usually leads to lower prices. But it looks as if we will have to wait until the lawyers duke it out to get a look at this technology.
