It comes with a 3.5-inch color touch screen and can control up to 15 separate components. The design and layout are both simple and elegant, with a brushed aluminum face and backlit user buttons. Once you have it unpacked, getting it setup is as easy as installing the software onto your computer and following the setup instructions. You then match your home theater components to the Harmony 1000 from a list of over 5000 supported manufacturers."</i><br /><br />Digital Trends has a nice video review of the Harmony 1000. Basically the 1000 takes all the features of the Harmony line and adds a 3.5 inch color touchscreen to make it easier to access custom functions. With a street price of a little less than $400, it is definitely targeted at a higher market segment than the rest of the Harmony line. If you are looking to get something a little more budget friendly, I highly recommend the 676. I've had it for almost a year and you can pick it up for around $90.
