ipod to Dvd-r

I just bought this cable that plugs into the headphone jack of my ipod and turns it into audio-video cables for TV. Is there anyway I can use my ipod as a DVD-R and record using this cable?

I don't believe the iPod has the ability to encode video - in fact, if it did, I'm sure we'd both have heard about it by now ;-) - so I don't think it can do what you want. Apple wants you buy your video content from iTunes, not make your own. ;-)
