I can connect it to my Xbox 360 or I can plug it in to a PC elsewhere in the house. The only tricky part is figuring out all the right pieces to making HD-DVD playback work on your PC. Windows XP doesn't currently support HD-DVD playback without finding a hacked driver for the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive, so if you want HD-DVD playback, moving to Windows Vista is your best option."</i><br /><br />Jake Ludington does a thorough job of explaining what will be required for you to watch HD-DVDs on your PC. Put succinctly, you'll need an HD-DVD drive, software capable of decoding &amp; playing HD-DVD content, a video card that supports HDCP and a monitor that also supports HDCP (no easy feats there unless you've got a new Dell [Jason]). Interested in watching HD-DVDs on your PC? Give the article a read. Me, I'm just waiting for someone to buy me an HD-DVD drive in the first place.

Maybe not.
Slysoft's AnyDVD HD enables playback on non-HDCP systems, according to their web site.

Every time I run the 1080p HD-DVD trailers I found online on my 360 I'm sorely tempted to pick up the add-on for 360 but I have so far managed to curb my enthusiasm.
I want to see BD dead and buried before I invest in HD-DVD.
Or vice-versa.
Until then, HD rentals on 360 and upscaled DVD will have to suffice.

"A pox 'pon both their houses."
