The real question is will the recorded movies play in wide screen mode. The series 2 that I have, doesn't do wide screen, and the cable channels that go thru it all come out 4:3 on my TV, regardless of the "aspect" setting in the tivo setup menu's.

I think it is telling that the promotional media displays a standard width TV rather than a wide screen.

I would not want to rent or buy a movie that only displayed in 4:3. Now if we could plug a huge usb disk onto the 360, download movies to it. Now with widescreen + hidef I would be interested.
