http://reviews.digitaltrends.com/review4207.html

"The NeoDigits X5000 DVD player outsmarts the competition by adding media streaming capabilities through either WiFi or Ethernet. That’s right, this DVD player will not only play your favorite DVDs, but it will also wirelessly connect to your home PC to play movies and music through your home theater. Now this is not really something new in theory, there have been other DVD players that do this (KiSS, Gateway), but the NeoDigits X5000 has some features that differentiate it from the others; audiophile circuitry. The X5000 has a sticker price of just $599."

On the surface, looks pretty good. This player will play just about any format you can throw at it and will stream content from your computer. Additionally this player makes use of good quality components far better than you will find on your standard player. Unfortunately, there are some problems with the interface and with performance that keeps this from being a home run.

The price isn't so bad, but if I was actually into multiformat videos, and I am, I would opt for a laptop w/ video out instead. Maybe pay a little bit more for a core duo based laptop if you can't get one for 600 bucks, and that way I could play any movie out there save 1080p h264 encodes. ;)

I'm doubting you are going to get something with the video/audio output types you would want for a home theater at that price.
