If you've read the video format post, you'll see that your Xbox has the ability to playback high definition (HD) video encoded in the Windows Media Video 9 Advanced Profile (VC1) codec. This means that you'll not only be able to watch High Definition video from external sources like a USB drive, CD, DVD, but also PC. However, when you decide to stream HD content over your home wireless network, you might see performance degradation in the form of choppiness. This post is to provide you with some workarounds and suggestions to fix the choppiness."</i><br /><br />Doing HD video streaming over a wireless connection falls into the "What? Are you crazy?" category as far as I'm concerned (until 802.11n arrives at least), but I appreciate that not everyone is fortunate enough to have an Ethernet plug within easy reach of their Xbox. This article discusses some of the issues you'll face, and offers helpful suggestions to make the experience as pain-free as possible.

Panasonic claims their PowerLine device (BL-PA100KTA) is capable of high def transmission, even at 34 Mbps (theoretical bandwidth is claimed to be 190 Mbps). Its on sale at Best Buy this week at $199, however, advertised elsewhere on the Internet for $179. -- Starter sets of two devices, but can handle up to 8 including the Master.

A little pricey to even "try out".
