Hello,
I'm trying to wrap my brain around turning my computer into a PVR.
I live in a really cr@p little apartment with one cable outlet, and cant get another. Currently that cable is being split for my tv and broadband. I'm thinking of getting a Hauppauge card, and would like a cable to my TV and to my computer (in addition to my modem).
Will a splitter work here (after the splitter I alread have)? Is there really any difference between the 150, 250, and 350 cards with the splitter?
I'm really hoping for better than VCR quality if possible.
I'm an audio engineer by trade, but know jack about TV's.
I have a WinXP hand built machine with an X2 4200+, 2GB of RAM, and plenty of storage. My cable company is Time Warner.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
