Transfer from archos av700 back to a pc

Does anyone know a way i can either save my movies from my archos to my pc. I am selling it and several moviies on the unit i wish to keep. I tried hooking it up with the usb cable and windows sees it , but when i try and copy from the video folder I get error messages. Is this the same deal as with an ipod. where nthere is no way or is there software available to acomplish this?

I don't have an Archos, but I can try to help. What's the exact error message you're getting?

I do have an Archos (not the av700), and to copy videos from it, I just drag and drop in Explorer. I would also have to see the error message you're getting to know what's going on. Sounds like a Windows problem though...
