The Kid-Tough Digital Camera is a preschool-appropriate digital camera that is said to be tough-enough and easy-enough for a preschooler to use. It's a real digital camera with a durable drop-resistant design. The camera features a 1.3-inch backlit color LCD preview screen that allows kids to instantly see the picture they've taken and view or delete previous shots. Simple controls and visual icons are said to make it so easy for kids to navigate with no reading required. The camera also features dual handle grips, two-eye viewing and Auto Flash."

I think this is a great idea. I mean, your kids are going to want to take photographs in any case when they see you clicking away. So instead of handing them your $500-$1000 camera (most likely more than that even), you can hand them something that is cheaper and more kid friendly. Plus, you will be albe to let your child be creative. Of course, I'd bet that the other kids in school are going to get jealous, so send them into the playground at your own risk. ;-) My one gripe is that I don't see why the camera is only 1.3MP instead of something higher given how cheap higher MP cameras are these days. Anyways, what do you want to bet that we'll start seeing more and more galleries showcasing the art produced through these cameras. :)
