Upgrades to Cornice's Dragon series feature 8GB and 10GB of storage, up from 4GB and 6GB, and have slimmed down to the size of a book of matches, the company said."

This is getting pretty close to the size the most people would consider pocketable for day to day use. The thing I love about my thumb drive is that it fits nicely on my key chain and I don't even notice it when it is in my pocket. These HD units should have a cost/capacity advantage and if they can get them down to something the size of an auto remote and have good shock-proofing, they could probably compete with a thumb drive.

That is, if Trek doesn't sue them first.
