Seriously, How do you convert other media types to DVR-MS

I am looking to get a media extender to work with my WMCE2005 box. I have been using ShrinkDVD and My Movies to store my DVD collection on my computer.

My thought is to convert the dvds to DVR-MS to allow them to be played thru a media extender.

Or, am I missing something? I welcome any input.

Couldn't the Extender play other files besides MS-DVR? If it does, you could always convert to .AVI or .MPEG or .WMV and play those through the extender.

I know of no way to convert an MPEG2 file (or anything else) to DVR-MS. Sorry. :-(
