Guys, I am wanting to get a NAS box that has gigabit Ethernet, and also a wireless MP3 player that I can hook up to the stereo system. I was thinking of the Buffalo Gigabit LinkStation (http://www.buffalotech.com/products/storage.php) and the Slim Squeezebox (http://www.slimdevices.com/).
However, I want to leave the computer off and just have the external networked hard disk running 24/7. I believe that most/all? all wireless MP3 players need software installed on a PC and also need have the PC running when in use. I.e. I don't think they can map directly to a NAS box. Is this correct and can you guys recommend a good combination of Gigabit NAS box and networked MP3 music player? Cheers.
