http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Products.html

"Nero 7 Ultra Edition enables you to experience your digital media in completely new and innovative ways. With the addition of the Nero Home media manager, you can now have the complete PC and TV experience. Whether you want to access your media files from the comfort of your living room, or complete digital media projects on your PC, Nero 7 Ultra Edition is all you need. Now, with more features than ever before, this powerful software can transform your digital photos into professional animated slideshows, backup all of your valuable data, manage and search your media files, edit video or photos, create DVDs (including menus), stream your files over a media server, and compress files to take on the go. Beginners and experts alike will be amazed by what one solution can do. Really, it’s that good."

Nero 7 is out, and it looks like a substantial release - there are a lot of new features, many of them around HD video capture and editing, which isn't something you'd expect from a CD/DVD burning package. I have to wonder if Nero's "everything and the kitchen sink" approach is helping or hindering them, because the bundle has so many applications and features it's hard to discover them all. Their backup program alone offers some impressive new features: backup as a service (it will run without you being logged in), backup over FTP, 128-bit encryption, bootable restore disc creation, among others.

Nero 7 will be available for download/purchase on October 26th for $99 (retail box) or $79 (digital download).

Hey there Jason,
Long time no post... anyways

I wonder if the update packages will still be huge! I remember you griping about the massive update and bug-fix DL times

I gather that they have included the ability to download updates that aren't the size of the full application
