http://news.designtechnica.com/article8203.html

"The new Panasonic SC-PM71 Micro System comes with a 1GB SD Memory Card and features a 5-disc CD channger, 4X high-speed CD to SD Memory Card recording, SD Audio and CD-R/RW, MP3, WMA playback. Three different compression choices are offered for recording. The system also supports HighMAT technology, which was co-developed by Panasonic and Microsoft. HighMAT makes it easier to play back personal music, photos and video collections and is fully backwards compatible with existing media formats... if you buy it today, Panasonic will throw in an ultra-compact SV-SD90 digital audio player, so you can take your favorite music with you on the go. When the SV-SD90 digital audio player is turned on, the elegant mirror front reveals a "floating" organic EL display for showing playback information."

I must say that it looks like a really slick device. And the fact that it can support so many file format and CD types gives it a huge leg up. I remember that when I bought a Sony music player (boombox) for my roommate, buying a player that can play mp3 and wma files really helps. Plus, this Micro System can play back video files too.
