With this system, cable companies can vastly expand their offerings by thousands of hours. In addition, specialty markets such as foreign language, home schooling, unique sporting events, and film festivals may be explored. The system VOD can deliver downloads directly from the Akimbo service, or from customer servers. Same day publishing features are perfect for time sensitive material."</i><br /><br />Interesting service. This is probably very similar to the Netflix movie downloads which they were planning to announce later today or tomorrow. Since Netflix had mistakenly made this product available on their site a couple of weeks ago, I wonder whether this is in response to that.
