This expansion of Seagate's family of Momentus notebook drives further closes the capacity and performance gap between desktop and notebook PC hard drives as more users replace aging desktop systems with fast, high-capacity notebook computers."</i><br /><br />Thanks to the new perpendicular recording technology, all notebooks will soon start to come with even larger hard drives over 100 GB. This will firstly satisfy (mobile) video editing with the bigger space opening up the possibility of leaving home the external hard drives.
