The design of the X5 is similar to that of the M3. Basically the X5 does everything the M3 can and a whole lot more. For starters Cowon added a 1.8” 260 000 colour screen, which allows you to view pictures that have been copied directly from your digital camera via the unit’s USB-OTG (Universal Serial Bus On the Go) function. It is even possible to watch movies and music videos. An integrated clock has been added to the player and there are all kinds of nifty alarm functions and timer recording capabilities. But more about that later in one of the first in depth English reviews of the iAudio X5."</i><br /><br />I don't know how much objectivity you can expect from a site who only covers audio players from one company, but this is thorough review of what appears to be a very capable player. My bias warning bells were ringing while I was reading this review though because the review consistently glossed over most of the problems and I felt like he was trying to convince me that they weren't really problems. But hey, read the review and decide for yourself. ;-)

this will probably be my next player, replacing my iriver 120.

My biggest issues with it right now are the requirement of that add-on card to charge it and hook it up to a comp.

Other than that, I have no use for the picture and video stuff so if those areas are lacking, no biggie to me.

I love the recordable FM radio on a timer (so I can grab Howard in the morning easily. No more torrents!) and the FLAC(!) support.
