It's DVD, Video DVD and Audio SACD compatible and it has a HDMI and iLINK connector. Another very surprising aspect for this kind of brand is the fact that they will market another player that is DivX compatible when it comes to movies and MP3/WMA compatible when it comes to audio files (that will be the DVD-S657, but that one is not HDMI compliant). The player will cost 715 EUR, so this will be my next DVD player. One side-effect is that you have to get 2 players to have everything."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/yamahadivx.jpg" /><br /><br />Looks very cool. What do you folks look for these days when buying a DVD player?

I look for the cheapest unit I can find. I've been watching more HDTV movies on DirecTV than DVDs. That will change I'm sure when the next generation DVD format gets figured out. But now I'm sticking with my Samsung players.

SACD, DVD-Audio, DivX/xVid, WMV, MOV, WMA, AAC, MP3, WAV etc (computer friendly), wireless compatible (preferably in an upgradable format like PCMCIA or USB so that one can upgrade to 802.11whatver in the future), and an ethernet port (gigabit preferred) so that it can stream AV contents from PC/NAS.

I think I described a DVD player that does not exist yet or simply a computer with a DVd drive.
