This is just too awful to pass up. The Baltimore Sun newspaper reported that a Best Buy customer was arrested for trying to pay his installation bill with two-dollar bills! This is completely outrageous!

Hopefully you will be able to see the article from this link http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/local/bal-md.olesker08mar08,1,76004.column?ctrack=1&cset=true
If not, go to www.baltimoresun.com and put Mike Bolesta in the Search box at the top. Pick the article "A tale of customer service, justice and currency as funny as a $2 bill".

Add to this the problems people have had with returns (in store credit only) and who needs to shop there?

So, where do you shop when you want to buy that great new item for your home entertainment?

Yeah know, you've got two kinds of people working at Best Buy; well that goes for Circuit City, Compusa or any other mega-electronics retailer.

The first is the 18 to 20 something female that knows about as much about electronics as a hamster. They're just waiting to either flunk out of community college or get pregnant from a club pickup.

The second are people that know WAY too much about electronics and probably should be tested for anti-social, Columbine, "I play City of Heroes until 4 am" type of behavior issues.

In either scenario, stay away from electronics retailers and either buy direct or from boutique type computer vendors online. You'll never pay shipping and you'll never pay tax - and you'll never get arrested for passing legal tender currency.

I swear I'm never gonna leave my house...
