So, has anyone else picked up the torrent of LEGAL music from SXSW? Over 2.6GB and 750 songs of goodness.
If you haven't heard of SXSW, it is time to learn. It is an amazing festival of music, movies, trade shows, and conferences. This is what indie music is all about.
I'm really impressed at what they did. Wired has a nice write-up (http://www.wired.com/news/digiwood/0,1412,66819,00.html) on the festival and why these songs are free They have offered MP3s in the past. But the torrent is new. You can find the torrent (http://2005.sxsw.com/geekout/fest4pod/) at the SXSW site as well as a downloadable schedule (sorry, it's all in the past now). Did I mention it is free and legal?
Also, It's chock full of my new favorite genre, Alt Country.
