It´s home entertainment the way it should be—simple. Optimized for complicated HDTV and PVR systems, the Harmony 880 helps you tame tough configurations like switching your television between video aspect ratios depending on the program source. The interactive color display lets you quickly choose a 16:9 ratio for movies and HDTV, or a standard 4:3 ratio for basic television programming."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/6614.jpg" /><br /><br />Wow. 8O There are universal remote controls, and there are <b>Universal Remote Controls</b>. This is the latter - I have a Harmony 688, but this looks light years ahead of it. That screen is awesome!

I saw that one on logitech's site when I went looking after your post on the Dell deal earlier in the week. I could not find any availability information on it, but I signed up to be notified as soon as it was available. It looks very well thought out. Note that they even designed the charging cradle such that you could use the remote while it is in the cradle so you are not stuck when the batteries go out.

Edit - Answered my own question. Should be available in the US in April - http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/050105/55281_1.html

I remember reading about this remote awhile back.

I always thought it looked really nice - very well thought out and well designed.

I've been very tempted with the idea of buying one (or two) of these when they finally hit the shelves.

Apart from no touchscreen and price difference, I wonder how it'll compare to something like the Philips Pronto TSU7000 (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&amp;A=details&amp;Q=&amp;sku=308544&amp;is=REG) (which I helped buy and program for a family member of mine - a nice remote!).

This one at least brings it down to a much more affordable level.

I'm interested in these Harmony remotes but am wary. I spent $200.00 on a top of the line All-In-Wonder remote that promised support for any future equipment. After a year, I'm still waiting for codes for my new DVD player. :-(

How is the Harmony supported? What happens when Logitech gets bored with it? Is this a fully learning remote? What are the learning limits? The All-In-Wonder had limited memory for learning.

Colour on a remote control sounds like a bad idea. I want the thing to last you know..

I called with a couple special needs and they accessed my system profile on the web and made the changes for me .. I just plugged in the usb cable and their tweeks were installed .. Im looking forward to the X10 controll in the new one .. Its logitec .. they always support their stuff in my experiance .. Im way sold
