According to the manufacturer, the TV supports PAL and NTSC analog broadcasts on UHF and VHF frequencies. It also has a AV input for connecting a DVD player or other AV devices to it and the battery life can be expected to be about 400 hours. The price for this TV will be around $139.00 and available in Q2 2005.

I think it is quite strange to still see analog portable TV tuners being announced to the markets. Is there even a demand for portable analog TVs out-there? I though the trend was to go digital as of lately... ;)

Actually, I bought a little casio like this last year specifically for the power outages that accompanied all of the hurricanes. Should have a generator by the time the season starts this year, so will not be so much of an issue.

Battery life of 400 hours??? 8O

How on earth could they get the batteries to last that long? That must be a typo.

Usually, you'll get around 3 hours or so with a pocket TV.

EDIT: I see it has a Lithium Ion battery, so maybe it can achieve longer life, but I can't see it getting too much more than double what alkalines would provide.
