Archos is the only company with a 100 GB Hard-drive PVP and recorder, the only to enable video recording and scheduling directly from any standard video source. The AV4100 has the same feature-set as the 80GB AV480. Measuring 4.9" x 3.1" x 1" and weighing 11.29oz, the AV4100 is still very compact. Screen-size is also 3.8 inch like on the AV480. The Archos AV4100 model will be in stores worldwide by the end of February with a suggested U.S. retail price of $799.95."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/av480.jpg" /><br /><br />Another portable video player that sure looks great and the specs are very impressive, but is there a market for these?

I really wanted to review and maybe purchase the AV4xx...but after playing with it for 30 minutes or so...i found the interface to be a bit simplistic and inconvinient at the same time.....less buttons is not always better in a complex machine like this.

As far as the market for this...think in car dvd players that are portable.

I don't have any experience with this product as I have been using a Creative Zen Portable Media Center (very easy to use if you have an MCE), but I will tell the parents out there get one of these.

I have a 2 year old, and I can finally have a meal in a restaurant again.

Not to mention it makes a geat MP3 player with album art as well as a great way to kill time if you travel a lot.
