"We are taking a 360 degree strategy," Sharman told Tech Digest. "We are looking to make Napster To Go available in the living room, in the car and on the phone, in addition to the service available for PCs."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/gfc_rtbox_ntglogo.jpg" /><br /><br />Obviously this is a harbinger of things to come, as more content providers wiggle their way onto our mobiles.

The other shoe just dropped:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4264161.stm

Nokia just signed up to add Wndows Media 10 on their players.
So with WMP10 running on Symbian *and* Windows Mobile Devices there should be a pretty darn big pool of customers for Napster and other subscription services to fish in.
Now its all a matter of how quickly they can deploy this...

And how much of the dedicate player market cell phones will eat up.

A music subscription added to a cell-phone with a HD or multi-gb SD card will certainly be a viable alternative to a dedicated player for a lot of customers, after all.
We may be looking at a replay of what is happening in the connected-organizer market (aka, low-end PDAs)...
