<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.i4u.com/article2810.html' target='_blank'>http://www.i4u.com/article2810.html</a><br /><br /></div><i>"JVC pioneered the HDD digital camcorder with the JVC Everio, now as predicted other companies start to introduce digital camcorder with hard-drives. NHJ Japan launches the D'zign DV-5 that features a 2GB hard-drive. The camcorder records video in MP4 format (640x480 with 30fps). The 3.2MP camcorder can also be used as MP3 Player. The D'zign measures 82mm × 73mm x 35mm. NHJ sells their products through Target in the US. Most likely the D'zign DV-5 will come this year to the US as well."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/nhjapan_dzign_dv5_2gb_camcorder.jpg" /><br /><br />Horrible product name, and I'm fairly negative on these video convergence devices. 640 x 480 at 30 fps isn't too bad (though I'd prefer to see 720 x 480) but the real question is one of quality. Does anyone have a convergence device like this one? If so, what do you think of it?

It's coming. It's coming! Be patient. (I'm not).
The sanyo xacti is on order. I'd much prefer the 5 Gig hardrive over the 1GB SD card....but one step at a time. Quality is indeed what is yet to be seen.

I don't care that it also plays MP3s. I have a digital jukebox already. I do like that it's 3.2MP and has a hard drive. Bigger would be better of course. Also does it have a media slot in case you fill it up but can't offload what you've taken so far? I think that would be essential.
