Although I must say his so called "tests" were rather pedestrian. He should have pushed the hardware a bit further. What I want to know is how well does it handle iLife, video, audio, etc.?

That article was SO weak, even for Walt.

Agreed. Hardly of any value to anyone other than Walt and Apple.

This isn't a review, it's Walt's free advertising for Apple. This article quite literally provides no useful information for most folks, beyond the "here's what you need to make the switch" type information. I was quite surprised to see this comment though:

You can't place anything on top of the mini or the DVD drive could jam.

How many folks are going to see that flat top surface, and are going to put a plant pot, their LCD monitor, or some other object on that surface? Maybe Apple should put a huge sticker on the top that says "Don't put any objects on this surface or this computer may fail to operate properly."

I could definitely see owning one of these, although I think the price is still a bit hefty, considering what you get - and I disagree with Walt about this comment "When you compare them with truly comparable Windows machines, their prices are competitive. ". This may be true for some limited applications, but overall, I don't think Apple's are superior to PC's at any given pricing level - if that was true, then I would have to believe that the market would show that in Apple's market share.

I'm surprised that Walt keeps churning this drivel out, but I guess some one out there believes all his stuff.....
