Dock800 is a dock-to-FireWire 800 cable for communicating with and charging iPods. A convenient little cable for just $14.99.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the device need to support Firewire 800 as well? As far as I know, none of the iPods do.

So basically this is a glorified adapter/cable combination? Why couldn't we just buy the $5 Firewire 800 to 400 adapter from the Apple store?
