Does anyone know if such a player exists? I've been considering for a while getting an iPOD but since my wife is into digital photography I figured if I could just get a really big CF card for both the mp3 player and her camera, that'd be more intelligent for us.

Thanks!

They're really rare - I bought one off of eBay about two years ago for my mother-in-law, but I haven't seen an MP3 player that uses CF since about 2002. CF cards are too big to make a small MP3 player - the ones that are big enough to take CF are using 5 GB micro drives instead. ;-)

Yup, there are some older models still kicking around:

I think that RCA makes such a device... the Lyra if I'm not mistaken. But according to their website they use SD now... maybe older generation Lyra models would be CF.

This site has a pretty good looking list of CF players:

Also, I heard rumor of micro drives being used in CF media devices... that would really expand the capacity of my old digital camera! and think of the capabilities of using a micro drive with a digital audio player! Look out iPod!
