At $299 USD, this isn't for the mere hobbyist, but if you're serious about cataloguing your CDs and DVDs, this is a killer solution. The kit includes an SD-based bar code scanner, and the client software that will take those bar codes and look them up online to build your catalogue. I wonder what the interface is like? Scanning the bar codes is the easy part for a company like Socket Communications - creating fast, powerful, and easy to use software is the hard part.
