The screen is fantastic (though the resolution isn't high enough to really take advantage of the extra size), it's fast, fun to use and capable of surprisingly good results. The Leica lens is certainly no slouch in the resolution stakes, exposure is - though by no means perfect - as good as any other camera in this class, and the auto white balance very good indeed."

DPREVIEW has a review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX7. Its stylish metal body harbors a 5 megapixel CCD sensor, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, a Leica lens, 3x optical / 4x digital zoom and costs 440 USD. Check out the review.

compact cameras are getting better and better.....but I am still waiting for a breakthrough in small lenses to finally match the big pixel count with the abilities of the lens inself
