Much like the iPod, the design is very simple without the tons of buttons that usually show up on iRiver's products. Hopefully we'll hear more really soon. 8)

Wow, this is the first iPod competitor that looks good. :) Any idea what the price might be? I'm thinking $249 would be good.

You're comparing it to the iPod Mini, right? However, I think the Rio Carbon (which came out several months ago and which I own) compares very well design-wise to the Mini and this.

I wonder if this iRiver model will auto-sync with WMP 10 and charge via USB? I think PlaysForSure is critical for a player to compete with iPod's ease-of-use, in addition to looks.

Hmm, doesn't look very attractive to me. The Zen Micros look better than this.

I like the looks of it. Looks much nicer to me than my Ipod Mini. Color screen, FM radio, 5GBs? Much better features, too.

I like the Zen's too, though - those are really beautiful.

I just wish these little players had larger capacities. I realize this may not be possible yet, but I want a music player with at least 15GBs. I'd be all over one of these if it had that kind of capacity.

But I do have to say, although I haven't bought anything from the iTunes Store because I don't want to invest in that format and bitrate, I do love iTunes. Very easy software to use. That's the only thing I'd miss. But then, I don't know what the software is like with this iRiver or the Zen.
