<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.whittakermoore.com/MyRemoteMouse.htm' target='_blank'>http://www.whittakermoore.com/MyRemoteMouse.htm</a><br /><br /></div><i>"Ever found yourself using Media Center Edition with the remote control and finding the need to control the mouse pointer but the mouse is nowhere in reach? Now with MyRemoteMouse your remote control can move your mouse pointer, click the left and right mouse buttons and even drag and drop. With one simple button click you can toggle between mouse and remote mode with no loss of remote functionality."</i><br /><br />The Web site is an eyesore 8O, but the product sounds interesting - I can already do this with <a href="http://www.snapstream.com/Products/firefly/default.asp">SnapStream's FireFly remote</a>, but if you don't have that product, this piece of software will allow you to control your mouse cursor using only the remote control. I've done this with my FireFly remote, and while it's a bit awkward, it works in a pinch - which might just save you having to reach for that wireless mouse (or buy one in the first place).

OMFG. That guy's site is the single worst piece of web design I've ever seen in my 10 years using The Web!

My eyes! My eyes! 8O

OK I've redeployed the web designer (to be fair we had to get a new site up in about 15 minutes for reasons I won't go into). A new site will be up in a few days.

Sorry if my comments sounded a bit harsh, but the site design really was that bad, and it puts a bad light on your product :(

Now your product on the other hand sounds like a fantastic utility. I was round my mate's house the other day - we've built an entire MCE replacement system which is vastly superior - it still uses the MCE remote though. The problem he showed me was that when he wanted to pop back into Windows to tinker with something he had to go and get his wireless keyboard/mouse combo as you can't use the MCE remote as a mouse.

Your tool sounds like it would solve that problem, so I'll have to let him know ;)

To be honest your comments were very reasonable. When I saw the site for the first time it looked very different from the original design. Cannot say I was overly happy.

A very quick revision to the site with some of the glaring design deficiencies rectified has now been put up. I'm afraid its still only really working in IE and not looking to good in Firefox but that will be rectified in the next update.

Thanks for the kind comments on the product. I hope your friend finds it useful (try the trial version)

All the best Garry

Ok the eyesore is no more and this version should work in FireFox too.
