We got a really cheap little portable DVD player for my son (2 1/2 years) for a long flight to Europe. The flight will be 11 hours. The battery of the DVD player will last for (maybe 2.5). Is there anything like a battery extender for portable media players???

Check with your airline if they have in-flight chargers... a lot of flights now have these plugs that are exactly like car cigarette lighter/charger plugs. Then you could buy a travel charger for your DVD player.
