If you're only using your Windows Mobile handheld to manage your contacts, calendar, or tasks, you're missing out on one of it's coolest features...taking your favorite music on the road and playing while you work. That's why we created ppcTunes™, the first ever tool to copy and covert music from Apple's iTunes to Windows Mobile devices of all kinds. ppcTunes is a simple, yet powerful app that allows you to copy your favorite iTunes playlists to your Pocket PC. It's the swiss army knife of music applications: we've packed it with everything you'll need.</i>"<br /><br /> <img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/ppcTunes_activesync.jpg" /> <br /><br />If Apple and the iPod only supported <a href="http://www.playsforsure.com">PlaysForSure</a>, this wouldn't even be an issue. Lets get with the program Apple. I love my iPod, but Fairplay just isn't cutting it anymore. :x

What about Fairplay isn't cutting it?
The fact that I can't use it anywhere but my iPod and iTunes. Not to mention 128kbps is worthless on anything but ear buds. I shouldn't have to burn an audio CD to listen to my music.

Couldn't you say that all those wma-based music stores aren't cutting it because they are not playable on the iPod? The iPod being the king of the hill for the last few years.

128kbps is fine for many people, what percentage of the people who buy music online ever have a problem with how it sounds? But I agree that it is too low. I'd like to see the competition from other music stores push Apple into giving us higher bitrate songs.

The problem with that logic is they would if they could, but Apple won't let them. I don't care about WMA, AAC, MP3 or any other format. I should be able to move my music around as I please.
128kbps is fine for many people, what percentage of the people who buy music online ever have a problem with how it sounds?Well a quick gander here and at sites such as iPodLounge (http://www.ipodlounge.com) would seem to show people are unhappy with the sound. John Q Owner might not care, but those how spend money on accessories and other features (the power users) seem to.But I agree that it is too low. I'd like to see the competition from other music stores push Apple into giving us higher bitrate songs.I was hoping there would be an announcement last week with the photo iPod, but there wasn't. :(
