http://www.xpmce.com/

This site is focused purely on the Windows Media Center Edition operating system, something that I've been taking a crash course in lately. The site has news, a FAQ for MCE questions, and other resources for MCE users.

Cool. I'm digging around and working on getting a nice MCE. One that's powerful enough to last, and grow with the demands of my house.

Anyone know how many tuners WMCE can handle? I know SnapStream can handle 6 or more, but what about WMCE.

I believe the XPCE 2005 can handle up to 3 tuners, I think it was designed for 2 NTSC/PAL tuners and one HDTV...

Also be sure to check out these free apps for XPMCE:

mceContacts (http://www.cbuenger.com/mcecontacts/): Display all your contacts, adresses, telephone-numbers right on your TV or monitor. Supports import from Outlook. I am sure someone will soon tie it into a CID application soon...How cool would that be if a phone call comes in and the contact name, picture, and other info are displayed on the bottom of the screen while watching TV...

mceWeather (http://www.cbuenger.com/mceweather/): Shows your current weather, forecast and sattelite-image of your city on your tv! Yeah I know most people with TVs have the weather channel, but this is a cool app none-the-less!

Cool stuff.

Yeah, I was checking it out last week and it was very slow. Maybe it got a little too popular a little too fast. There's also www.thegreenbutton.com a similar site.
