Orb's software will enable users to place-shift their digital content, but without an external hardware adapter. It appears that all one needs to do is install the Orb software on a networked PC (cable or satellite PC connection required for live TV) and setup a password-protected Orb account."</i><br /><br />So basically after logging in, users will be able to access their files over the Internet using a Web browser and a media player like Windows Media Player or RealPlayer. The Orb service will be available in mid-November starting at $9.99 a month or $79.99 per year. It looks like this software does a one way stream transfer to your browser, but what would be cooler is for me to be able to capture a video on my handheld device and be able to transfer it back to the Orb software/my PC. As far as I can tell, it does not do that. Still, good idea.
