The innovative 6-colour Deskjet 6840 is also speedy with a claimed throughtput of up to 30ppm (20ppm colour) at a native print resolution of 1200x1200dpi (4800dpi optimised). Direct photo printing independently of a computer is possible thanks to PictBridge support, and you can also print custom size photos with or without borders. Other key features include 32MB of RAM, an automatic paper type sensor, and an optional 250-sheet plain paper tray for improved paper handling (just 150 sheets supported as standard)."

Apparently, the UI for the printer is quite good, through a small LCD control panel, showing the wireless and networking status of the printer. It is nice to see more low-cost wirelessly networked products on the market like printers and projectors. The HP Deskjet 6840 is priced at £199 and will be available from November 2004.
