Anyone know if a company makes a digital camera that has a remote shutter control?

I would also like these features:
1: 3.1 megapixels minimum
2: 3 optical zoom minimum
3: regular batteries
4: SD memory card
5: under $500.00 USD

Thanks

Bob

Are you talking specifically wired remote, specifically wireless remote, or you don't care which?

Wireless remote is what I am looking for.
At least 30 meters or about 300 feet range or better would be ideal.

If not, a good 1.3 megapixel credit card camera for outdoor picture taking.
Then I can modify the switch for remote access.

Any camera under $100 USD?
Good quality in daylight
1/2000+ shutter speed.
LCD not required.

Thanks

I don't think you will find one with a remote that will work over those distances. Few would work reliably over more than 5 to 7 metres.

What Peter said. I don't know about other manufacturers, but I have two Canon cameras with wireless remote controls. The Canon PowerShot Pro 1 comes with one but it's range is only about 4 meters and it's going for about $800 dollars now and uses a CF card. My other one has a range of about 300 meters but the remote alone approaches your price limit, never mind the camera (Canon EOS-1D MkII)

Could you tell us what you need such a long distanced remote for? If you check out some of the hunting magazines, like Cabela's, they have camera boxes that you can slip a digital into. The shutter is triggered by motion sensors. It's meant to photograph wildlife in a potential hunting spot, but could also work for catching a teeny-bopper sneaking out their bedroom window  Not that I have used it for that purpose. :D

Do your neighbors know you are taking pictures of their "teeny-bopper"? :D

Ooh, ya. That would be a good way to get a slap on the wrist. Maybe I could blackmail her.
