<img src="http://files.acdsystems.com/english/newsletters/acdsee7-ppack-box-small.jpg" />"A brand new ACDSee PowerPack is now available exclusively to ACDSee users. ACDSee 7 PowerPack will not be available on our site until next week, but you can get it now through this e-mail AND get the brand new ACDSee Share included. As always, buy without risk with the ACD Software Promise. ACDSee 7 is now even faster at viewing your digital photos ... way faster. Find, view, organize, edit, print, and share your photos easier than ever. With ACDSee 7 PowerPack, you'll enjoy:<br /><br />• Expanded features and file format support, including RAW viewing.<br />• Powerful tools for automatic back ups (Synch) of your photo collection in multiple locations (only available in PowerPack).<br />• Enhanced editing power with ACD Photo Editor 3.1 (only available in PowerPack).<br />• ACD FotoSlate 3.1 for perfect printing."<br /><br />I'm a HUGE fan of ACDSEE, so I'm really looking forward to this new version. There's nothing about it on their site, <a href="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/acd7.jpg">the email promotion</a> is the only information that seems to be out there so far.

$49.99 for the upgrade - that does not seem like such a bargain.

I use ACDSee 6 as the first step in my workflo - it is a great program. It works with large jpg and RAW files extremely fast. I have not even delved into many of the backup and archiving features and it supports my cameras RAW files so I'm not sure if the upgrade is worth it for me.

Jason... what features are you looking forward to in particluar?

ACDSEE is one of those tools that I always upgrade to the latest version regardless of whether or not I need it. ;-) You're right though, $50 for an upgrade is pricey...

You're right, although we're talking the PowerPack version, complete with the PhotoCanvas and PhotoSlate (or whatever it's called. ;))

The real bad news is that ACDSee 7 has product activation. I'll live it because I already bought it (I've been an ACDSee owner since 3.1), and love the program, but I'm not so thrilled about this development. :? Yet another program to worry about if my computer dies.

Almost as bad as a Photoshop upgrade. :( If only the product wasn't so good.

I know a way to get 7.0 for free... win it!

If you are signed up for the ACDSee newsletter, they always have photo competitions - there are some good entries but nothing too amazing. I bought a license for the viewer only and ended up winning a license for the power pack (6.0) for one of the "wacky photo" competitions.

I wonder if previous winners can win aqain??!!

I've given up on ACDSee. Using a freeware viewer instead.
