Take a look while you can... Probably a hoax, but isn't this what the internet is for?

Hmm, doesn't that look like a random flat panel display in a traditional Powerbook box? I don't think those pics say much, do you?

Not much at all. Still it would go with what is expected in the next iMac...

As I said, probably a hoax since this is really the next iMac...

Since, it seems like the packaging is like the PowerBook's and it looks like "only" a screen....
can this be the recently patented tablet mac? :?

I am doubtful that it is the tablet, new iMac? Maybe.

Mostly I am doubtful about the tablet aspect because of the ergonomics seen in the picture. If it is one thing that Apple does very well is that they place a lot of emphasis on designing in a product.

The edges look too sharp and angular, properties that would not lend to well to holding in ones hand for long periods of time. In addition the backside of the device isn't flat, another draw back for having it rest on a desk or lap.

As for new iMac? I don't see it. Unless this is the year of change it doesn't really look like anything Apple currently makes. Most Apple products have a similar look and feel to go with the current 'Branding'.

It looks mostly like a LCD monitor, in fact as someone pointed out...
a LaCie 20.1 inch monitor

or IIlyama Prolite

Oh well, find out on Tuesday. :)
