Need to replace a few from 2-disk sets. Everyplace I have looked only sells singles, or is a wholesaler that only sells by the case.

I was in Tampa over the weekend and both CompUSA and Staples had tons of them. Weird that neither of those same stores in Tallahassee had them.

Actually, CompUSA and Staples have them here in NYC as well, but they are waaay expensive. What prices did you find?

Memorex 10 Pack - $8.99 at CUSA $9.99 at Staples
CUSA brand 10 Pack (slim) - $7.99

I didn't think this was two expensive.

Hmm, that is the pricing here (approximately) but don't you think that is really high? I mean, blank CDs are cheaper than their cases.

Are we both talking about the same thing? I am talking about the DVD keep cases that will hold two disks in one case. They are the same size of a regular movie DVD you would buy.

I would imagine DVD cases are a much lower volume item at the consumer level than blank media.

That said, I guess you are right. If you compare to blank CD cases, you can get those alot cheaper than DVD cases and that is a more apples to apples comparison.

I am pretty sure we are talking about the same thing. :) And I still maintain that they are way expensive. :) I have actually resorted to using simple slip cases for my CDs and DVDs, the kind that come with CD envelopes.

Ok, I think we are on the same page. I 100% agree that these are way to expensive to be using for all the DVD's I burn. I was only looking for the double cases to replace a few regular movie cases for double disks that had been damaged when I loaned them out. In that case, I was looking at it from the perspective of $.89 to replace a case for a $20 movie. For most of my burned DVDs, I found that Walmart sells cheap CD wallets ($0.97 for a wallet that holds 12 disks).

Allow me to introduce you to Shop4Tech.com. They have all sorts of cool CD/DVD-related accessories.

In the past, I've purchased single and double disc DVD cases, CD envelopes with plastic windows, bulk CD-R/RWs and bulk DVD-R/RWs from them.

I believe what you are looking for is http://www.shop4tech.com/item718.html. Prices range from $0.39 each (for 25) all the way down to $0.13 each (for 2000).

Actually, that's the standard case. They also have a slim version for about the same price. You can see that at http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm?go=view_item&id=1854&cata=1&s_cata=97

If the movie that got messed up is Ice Age, you can get a white case replacement at http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm?go=view_item&id=1265&cata=1&s_cata=97. They also have them in frosty & clear.

Some other interesting items:

4-Disc DVD cases in black, white, & clear (http://www.shop4tech.com/item2539.html)

CD/DVD Mounting Hubs (http://www.shop4tech.com/item1470.html)

DVD Case Inserts (http://www.shop4tech.com/item1569.html)

VHS/DVD Combo cases (http://www.shop4tech.com/item1468.html) - I can't imagine the use for THIS one.

DVD Case Mailers (http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm?go=view_item&id=1839&cata=1&s_cata=97)

Plastic bags for DVD cases (http://www.shop4tech.com/item1674.html)

There are other interesting things there as well, but that's enough URLs for one post.

Yeah, I thought about adding that when I started adding all those other links. But I figured the "In the past I've purchased ... from them" was enough of a clue.

I just like all the accessories they offer, that you don't find at most retail sites.

The CDRs I purchased from them were fine. The DVD-Rs were making coasters trying to burn this one disc, so I don't know if it was the discs or what I trying to copy.
